Last Saturday five of us headed out of town on road bikes with the two Bruces setting the pace. Averaging 30k an hour to Upper Takaka we continued up the hill making the Canaan turn off in about 1 hour 45. John met us for the transition to mountain bikes and it was off down the Canaan road to the Rameka and back to town. A successful rekky of a ride that hopefully will become a full blown event....watch this space.
This is me (Reece) doing a sweet whip over my new road gap. come out to East Takaka and have a look at it and maybe give it a go. Also while you are out here have a ride on my downhill track.
Ride up the tumeke logging track to the second corner and you will see a track going off. be carfull its steep and theres drops in the track. HAVE FUN

Goldfields club ride
Five of us hit the Goldfields this morning. A 20km loop with various mine and cave exploring stops......
More great weather, another great ride on a great circuit.....do it before the rains come!
Kids Milnthorpe Maraud
A very successful day considering the short notice and minimal advertising. Fifteen kids under 14 turned up for time trials of a 2km loop through the Milnthorpe woods, well done everyone for taking part and parents for help.

After placing some new mini signs and doing a spot of pruning and trimming, the Goldfields is riding really well at the moment, it's not too late to get on board for Sunday's club ride.....
