Start of the coppermine race
Today saw 8 Golden Bay locals finish the Coppermine Epic mountain bike race and with four (category) podium finishes that's not a bad effort!....I'll post some results when they come through but for now, here's a few pics....
Bird's clearing ride
last Thursday evening saw Bruce do another two shuttle runs up to Bird's clearing and the boys do two more runs down some serious downhill. Despite losing his derailleur Nathaniel still made it down in one piece....
Future race

I need some feedback for a race I'd like to put on for the club and allcomers maybe this time next year. It may be that we try it out as a (big) club ride first? The Takaka/Rameka and back road and mountain bike challenge would start and finish in town and would involve cycling to Upper Takaka and up the hill with a transition to mountain bikes at the Canaan road turnoff. (racing as individuals or teams of two) then it's down the Rameka, probably taking in the new extension and back to town....easy peasy! would be good to hear your comments.....thanks, Rob

Welcome on board
Hopefully we can all keep in touch on a general level to see what everyone else is up to in the club. You will still get club emails, but hopefully this blog will provide a bit extra. By all using the same username to access the site, it would be good to sign your name at the bottom of each post so we know who to get in touch with, otherwise you will be automatically named as gbmtb!
Basically anyone will be able to add text,pictures, videos and links to anything that you think may be relevant to the club. Good, thats me for now, have fun, Rob
